Measles Outbreak in South Carolina: 27 New Cases, Total 111
The South Carolina Department of Public Health (DPH) has reported a concerning development in the ongoing measles outbreak. As of Tuesday, 27 new cases have been identified, bringing the total number of cases related to the Upstate outbreak to 111. This outbreak has now affected 114 individuals across the state this year.
Health officials have confirmed that 16 of the new cases are linked to exposure at the Way of Truth Church in Inman. The situation is critical, with 254 people currently in quarantine and 16 in isolation. The DPH has also released age-specific data on the measles cases in the Upstate outbreak:
